![]() Jack Gannon and Cyndi Williams-Barnier are an author team from Beaufort, South Carolina, and are attending the Wine and Signs at both Aiken and Folly Beach in April 2016. Jack and Cyndi were best friends in High School in the 1970s, with mutual plans to graduate from college and begin writing literature. In true Southern tradition, they didn’t get around to writing their first novel until more than three decades later. They reunited after Cyndi had retired with 25 years with the government, and Jack was nearing the end of his 24-year career at The Beaufort Gazette. When they reunited in early summer 2011, one of the first questions they asked each other was, “Where’s that book you were going to write?” Since they had nothing else better to do, they picked up where they left off long ago and wrote the very book they talked about in high school! In 2012 “Murder In Twos and Threes” (Task Force #1) was self-published and to this day retains a five-star rating on Amazon.com. They followed that with “Trail of The Talon” (Task Force #2) in 2012. These two books caught the eye of PDMI Publishing LLC. Now with a publisher, they continued their new writing career with “Tales On The Yellow Brick Road” (a small anthology of short stories and poems), “Dawn of The Living Ghost” (InSpectre #1), and the first two in their “TV Episode” Task Force stories—“Silent Night, Murder Night” and “Reel To Real Murder” (so nicknamed because they are designed to be read in about 40 minutes, the length of a television show without commercials). Just in time for the Wine and Sign events, they will have the next book in the main Task Force Chronological series for sale: “Trail of The Hunter” (Task Force #3). It, and their other six books, will be on sale and personalized/signed during the Wine and Signs. Coming soon are novella “Tears of Destiny” (InSpectre #2) and novel “The Latrodectus Murders” (Task Force #4). Jack and Cyndi are also the founders of the annual South Carolina Lowcountry Arts and Literary Festival held at Historic Frampton Plantation in Yemassee, SC; this year’s event will be held on Saturday, November 5, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. They can be contacted at jandcwordsmiths@gmail.com or 843-597-0912, and their author website is www.jandcwordsmiths.com.
